Harold Ifft, President and Management Consultant at Harold A. Ifft Associates Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of management consulting.
Mr. Ifft studied at Ohio University from 1951 to 1953, and started working as a field service director and camp director for the Boy Scouts of America in 1955. He spent more than a decade with the organization—as a young man, he was a cub master, scoutmaster, and eagle scout. Through his association with the Boy Scouts, Mr. Ifft learned a basic fundraising approach that he has used throughout his career and was encouraged to pursue his goal of helping others. From 1962 to 1966, he served as an advisor for Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity, and in 1966 he started working as the director of business relations and financial field services for Junior Achievement National in New York City.
In 1968, Mr. Ifft began working as the president of his own company, Harold A. Ifft Associates Inc., where he works to this day. He also began serving on the board of directors for the Long Island and New York City chapters of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives, and in 1978, he started as a commissioner volunteer for the Salvation Army. He authored “Fund Raising and Financial Management,” and has written hundreds of brochures throughout his career. Mr. Ifft founded the Parkview Family Council and has served as president since 1992. From 1978 to 1981, he worked as a consultant and development director for National Medical Fellowships, and from 1981 to 1986, he worked as the executive director of Asthma Care Corps. Over the course of his career as a management consultant, Mr. Ifft is proudest of the work he has done to help non-profit organizations escape debt and start on the road to financial stability.
