John Fiers, Director of Logistics at the Indiana Guard Reserve, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in religious service, finance, and business administration.
Dr. Fiers started his education at Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in management in 1983. Starting in 1984, he worked as a senior loan officer for First Federal Savings Bank, and continued his studies, earning a degree from the Institute of Finance Education in Chicago in 1988 and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1990. He left his position at the bank in 1991, becoming the vice president of Tippecanoe Title Services and pastor at Romney United Methodist Church. In 1994, Dr. Fiers became the president of First Mortgage of Indiana, and in 1997, he became corporate treasurer of Electro Painters, Inc. and chaplain of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. He started as business administrator for Tabernacle Presbyterian Church in 2002, where he remained until 2007, and in 2009, he took a position as station manager of Camp Atterbury SRI-Chaplain Station.
In 2006, Dr. Fiers became the director of logistics of the Indiana Guard Reserve, where he continues to work to this day. He worked as controller of 1st Signature Lending LLC from 2012 to 2017, and in 2013, he earned a Doctor of Theology from Mount Sinai International Seminary. Since 2018, he has worked as chaplain for the United States Secret Service, and as a member of the Army National Guard, he has risen to the rank of lieutenant colonel and assistant chief of staff and has been certified as a Master Military Emergency Management Specialist. He has also received a Military Police Certification Extra Class and is a master chaplain and fellow of the International Conference of Police Chaplains. Dr. Fiers has been recognized with an Indiana Commendation Medal and an Indiana Distinguished Service Medal from the Indiana National Guard, and as a testament to his stature, experience, and success, he has been included in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America.
