Krishna Kumar, Engineer and Owner at Kk Engg. LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of engineering consultation.
As a student, Mr. Kumar studied at Brigham Young University and earned a Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering in 1972. He earned his professional engineer license in the state of Nevada, and in the state of California, in 1981. Later, in 1991, he went on to earn his professional engineer license in the state of Oregon, and in 1993, he earned it in the state of Washington. Initially, Mr. Kumar intended to pursue a career in aerospace engineering, but in the post-Vietnam War era, the aerospace business was in decline. He redirected to working in building systems and has worked as an engineering consultant on projects such as air conditioning systems, plumbing, and fire protection.
Mr. Kumar has worked as an engineering consultant in various capacities over the course of his career. He worked for the University of New Mexico, and for Intel. In 2006, he founded Kk Engg. LLC, his private engineering consultancy firm, and has worked there ever since. He attributes his success to his passion for the work he does and received a Congressional Recognition from two congressmen and the state of California in 2000 for his work in the community. He is a life member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering International and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers, and he worked on a geothermal project design for a mansion on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts from 2007 to 2008. In the coming years, he looks forward to continuing to grow his business and develop as a professional engineering consultant.
