Danny Koontz, Director of Facilities Management at the Collier Restaurant Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business and restaurant administration.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Koontz attended East Tennessee University from 1977 to 1978, and continued his academic pursuits at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where he completed coursework from 1978 to 1981. During his college career, he worked in the warehouse facilities for Ruby Tuesday, and after completing his education, he accepted a position in purchasing and facilities. He excelled in the industry, and over his 35 years with the company, he rose to the rank of director of facilities management. From 2014 to 2015, Mr. Koontz leveraged his experience and expertise as the vice president and director of operations at VMC Facilities LLC, and since 2016, he has served as the director of facilities management at the Collier Restaurant Group in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Mr. Koontz has always had a passion for helping others, and attributes his success to his ability to talk to people and exchange ideas. He maintains humility in his work, accepting that he doesn’t know everything and always has more to learn while maintaining a high standard of personal integrity—he always holds true to his word. Mr. Koontz served as the chairman of the board of directors for the Restaurant Facility Management Association from 2011 to 2012, and maintains his affiliation with the organization as an advisory council member. In addition to his professional pursuits, he also served as a dedicated member of the board of directors for United Cerebral Palsy of Alabama from 1988 to 1994.
