Sandra Remey, Public Relations Executive and President of Remey Communications Public Relations and Marketing, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership.

In preparation for her career, Ms. Remey attended the University of Maryland and earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism in 1986. In 1987, she began working as a public relations assistant for the American Bus Association, and from 1988 to 1990, she garnered further experience as a junior account executive at Ogilvy & Mather Public Affairs. She transitioned to the National Association of College and University Business Officers, where she held the post of a communications manager until 1993, and subsequently served as a community relations and internal communications manager at the Riggs National Bank of Washington until 1996. Ms. Remey continued her academic pursuits at American University, graduating with a Master of Arts in public communication in 1996, and rose to the rank of the assistant vice president and a manager of communications at the bank, where she remained until 1999.

Following her departure from the Riggs National Bank of Washington, Ms. Remey worked as an advocacy communications manager for the American Academy of Ophthalmology from 1999 to 2003. Currently, she acts as the president of her company, Remey Communications Public Relations and Marketing, a position she has held since 1998. In addition to her academic degrees, she holds accreditation in public relations, and was recognized by the Rockville Awards Program as the Marketing Consultant of the Year from 2013 to 2019. She maintains memberships to the Independent Public Relations Alliance, for which she served as the former board chair, as well as the Public Relations Society of America, where she held of the post of the co-chair of the professional development committee. As a testament to her success, Ms. Remey has been featured in the 31st edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, the 55th edition of Who’s Who in America, the first edition of Who’s Who in the Media and Communication, as well as multiple editions of Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in the East. In the coming years, she plans to continue her current pursuits.
