Carl Mangus, Technical Safety and Standards Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering.

From 1951 to 1955, Mr. Mangus served in the United States Air Force as a staff sergeant and received an honorable discharge. In preparation for his career, he attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1958. He became a registered professional engineer in the state of Louisiana in 1959, and after garnering experience in various positions, he started as a project manager at the Chalkley Gas Processing Plant in 1964. Over the years, Mr. Mangus worked as a project developer and project manager for multiple natural gas plants, and in 1982 he started as the manager of regulatory affairs at Shell Oil. In 1985, he rose to the rank of a senior staff technical safety specialist at the company.

Mr. Mangus began working in private practice as a technical safety and standards consultant in 1986, which he continued for nearly 30 years. Additionally, from 2003 to 2015, he acted as the founder of TS&S Offshore Crane Services. He remains affiliated with numerous organizations related to his areas of expertise, including the Louisiana Engineering Society, the Gulf Coast Safety and Training Group, the American Society of Safety Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. In 1987, Mr. Mangus was recognized as the recipient of an American Petroleum citation for service from the American Petroleum Institute. Among his myriad professional accomplishments, he considers building natural technology plants and offshore plants to be particular highlights of his career.
