Ms. Bartels was inspired to pursue a career in the field by her aunt, Bernadette Bartels Murphy, who was one of the first women on Wall Street, working until her retirement at the age of 80. She first pursued an education with Fordham University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in economics. She continued her studies with the school, earning a Master of Science in economics.
Throughout her career, Ms. Bartels has been recognized for her contributions, including having been listed as an Institutional Investor by the All American Research Team. She attributes much of her success to her ability to network, and to build relationships and connect with people. She also believes it is a good way to learn and teach others new skills, and that it has helped transform many industries from competitive environments to team-oriented ones. In the future, she intends to continue assisting people achieve their goals and to help educate people on how to succeed.
