Howard Hechtman, Retired Financial Analyst at the New York City Transit Authority, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership.

Originally interested in physics, Mr. Hechtman first graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Brooklyn Polytechnic University in 1968. He continued at Adelphi University, where he earned a Master of Science in physics in 1970. After receiving an MBA in management at Adelphi with distinction in 1972, Mr. Hechtman landed on a position with the NYC Transit Authority. He leveraged his skills and expertise in this position for the entirety of his career, retiring in 2016. During this time, he received a certification in labor relations and an advanced certification in labor relations from Cornell University.

In addition to working at the NYC Transit Authority, Mr. Hechtman was an active committee member and delegate of his union. He served as a captain in the New York Guard. In recognition of his contributions, he has been awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Republican National Committee and has been recognized as a Patron of the Arts at the Society of Theater Arts Resources. He attributes his successes to his faith and God’s wondrous handiwork of the universe.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hechtman maintained professional affiliation with a variety of organizations. Since 1996, he has served as the life director of the Polytechnic University Alumni Association. He has been a delegate o the Civil Service Technical Guild since 1994, and since 1978, actively involved with the Alumni Board of Directors with the Polytechnic University Alumni Association. He was a part of the Gold Circle with the Veterans of Foreign Wars in 2010 and has also been a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.
