Paul Wineman, Contract Negotiator and President of Wineman and Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in negotiation.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Wineman attended the University of Washington and graduated with a Bachelor of Art in communications in 1958. He subsequently began serving in the United States Army, working as a staff officer in the Pentagon and spending many years abroad in Iran. For five years, he served as a member of the Green Berets, rising to the rank of a captain before his honorable discharge in 1965. After becoming fluent in Arabic, Mr. Wineman resumed his academic pursuits at the American University of Beirut, where he earned a Master of Arts in Arab studies in 1967.
In 1969, Mr. Wineman became the regional director of Avco Corporation in Beirut, and in 1973, he transitioned to the United Technologies Corporation, where he served as the regional director until 1977. In 1976, while living in Beirut, he was captured and held hostage by the Palestinian Liberation Organization for a short period of time. After returning to the United States, Mr. Wineman started Wineman and Associates in 1977, where he continues to serve as both the president and the regional director to this day.
In addition to his primary professional pursuits, Mr. Wineman has found success through his written works, authoring “The Sweet Art of Negotiation” in 1999. He has been a trustee of the Foundation of Phi Kappa Psi, and is proud of mentoring his young fraternity brothers today. He also served as the National President of Phi Kappa Psi from 2008 to 2010. As a further testament to his success and stature, Mr. Wineman has been featured in the 26th edition of Who’s Who in the West as well as the 54th and 55th editions of Who’s Who in America.
