Connie Gard, Property Manager at Rancho Cabeza MH Estates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
After Ms. Gard graduated from high school, she wanted to live on her own, so she enlisted in the United States Navy. She served from 1954 to 1957, receiving an honorable discharge, and started as a student at the Santa Rosa Junior College where she completed coursework from 1958 to 1960. She started as an office manager for the Anchorage Drug Supply in Alaska in 1963, continuing her higher education and receiving a degree from Greenes Business College in 1966. In 1969, Ms. Gard accepted a position as an assistant operations manager with Sonoma County Data Processing in Santa Rosa, California, where she went on to work for more than 25 years.
Ms. Gard continued her professional pursuits as a consultant to Chips & Bits Micros, where she contributed from 1984 until her departure in 2001. She transitioned to the post of the property manager at Rancho Cabeza MH Estates, a mobile home park where she continues to work to this day. As a certified property manager, Ms. Gard maintains affiliation with numerous professional organizations in relation to her areas of expertise, including the National Association of Female Executives, the American Management Association and the Data Processing Management Association, for which she served as the treasurer from 1981 to 1983.
In addition to her primary professional pursuits, Ms. Gard served as the president of the Wine Country Chapter of WMA from 2004 to 2018. She believes in the value of listening to others and not jumping to conclusions, and attributes her success to the lessons she has learned. Throughout her career, she has gravitated toward management roles because she prefers to make decisions, rather than be told what to do. In the coming years, Ms. Gard plans to participate more in her community as a volunteer. She loves working with animals and senior citizens, and hopes to find a role in which she can contribute to her community through these passions.
