Craig Schiff, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of BPM Partners Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business administration and management.
With 40 years of professional experience to his credit, Mr. Schiff has established himself as a leading expert in entrepreneurship and business. Since 2002, he has worked as the chief executive officer and founder of BPM Partners Inc. in Stamford, Connecticut. BPM Partners is an esteemed advisory services firm that handles business performance management (BPM) solutions. In preparation for his professional pursuits, Mr. Schiff attended the State University of New York in New Paltz, earning a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1977. Following this achievement, he continued his academic pursuits at Fordham University, where he graduated with an MBA in finance in 1987.
Leveraging his academic foundations, Mr. Schiff began his career as a programmer for NPD Research in Floral Park, New York, where he remained from 1977 to 1979. He subsequently spent a year as a financial programmer at Gulf & Western in New York, New York, and accepted a position as a project manager at GE in 1980. With several years of management experience, Mr. Schiff joined the founder of IMRS, Bob Thompson, in building a new business venture. Taking advantage of the availability of personal computers, Mr. Schiff served as the senior vice president of Hyperion Solutions, now part of Oracle, for 15 years. Throughout his career, Mr. Schiff believes his uncompromising commitment to his values has played an important role in his success. During his tenure in a senior position, he was asked by the chief executive officer to fire a key employee for having a difficult attitude. Mr. Schiff refused, arguing that the key employee was valuable and would contribute to the success of the company, and was fired as a result. For sticking to his ideals, investors presented Mr. Schiff with an opportunity to start a new company with the employee he was meant to fire.
