Title: Chief Operating Officer
Company: SoccerHaus Management Company
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States

James “Brett” Riding, chief operating officer of the SoccerHaus Management Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in business administration.

As the chief operating officer of the SoccerHaus Management Company since 2013, Mr. Riding has worked to establish a community-oriented indoor soccer facility built for players, by players. Together, with his fellow members of the board of directors, Jorge Troncoso, Dr. Nathan Evans and Randall Moore, he has enjoyed giving back to the community and making a difference in the sport. Before Mr. Riding began this endeavor, there was only one indoor soccer facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He sought to change that and continued to work on building a legacy that will last for generations to come.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Riding attended the University of Phoenix in Tempe, Arizona, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in business management in 2006 and a Master of Business Administration in 2013. He continued his academic efforts at the Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, where he received an additional MBA with an emphasis in leadership in 2014. Mr. Riding credits his family as motivation for his career achievements, including his father, a retired U.S. Army colonel with 30 years of service as a Black Hawk pilot, as well as his mother, a devoted nurse who was nominated for the Florence Nightingale Award. His wife, Kelly Kay Riding, as well as his twin sons, are also constant sources of inspiration to strive for further professional accomplishments.

Mr. Riding has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades. He was named to the Top Locals Best in Colorado Springs in 2018, received an award for Outstanding Results in Support of Advancing the Educational Goals of Students in 2009 and was named an All Metropolitan Soccer Player by the Washington Post in 1998, among myriad honors. Mr. Riding established great alliances and partnerships with the Pride Soccer Club, the Bristol Brewing Company, All American Sports, Blue Label Lacrosse and the Colorado Switchbacks, among others. He co-owns a Mighty Kicks franchise, the Upper90 Tavern, the Haus Sports Academy and the Colorado Inferno FC.

Prior to his current tenure, Mr. Riding garnered experience as a banquet manager, and subsequently worked as a store director and accounts executive. He served as a college admissions representative from 2008 to 2014 and transitioned to his current position with the SoccerHaus Management Company. As an experienced soccer player, he served as the captain of a premier arena soccer league for the Colorado Blizzard from 2013 to 2016 and played soccer in Italy for Marglianese from 1999 to 2000. He created a Major Arena Soccer League team and formed the Arena Soccer Group LLC with both Andres Trujillo, the chief executive officer of the New Mexico Runners, and Blake Shumaker, the chief executive officer of the Wichita Wings. In the next five years, Mr. Riding aims to have established at least three corporate locations for the SoccerHaus Management Company, and would like to begin franchising locations and expanding across the United States.
