James S. Robinson, former department head at the San Bernardino County Probation Department, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in social work.

With 50 years of professional experience, Mr. Robinson was a department head for the San Bernardino County Probation Department from 2001 to 2015, having been a supervising officer since 1986. Prior to obtaining these roles, he was a supervising caseworker at St. John’s School from 1985 to 1986. Earlier in his career, he served as a maintenance superintendent with the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1985. In addition to his primary positions, Mr. Robinson was the director of the student assistant program at San Bernardino Valley College from 1996 to 2006.

Mr. Robinson pursued an education with Golden Gate University, where he earned a Master of Public Administration in 1985. He has been certified in addiction treatment by the California Association for Alcohol and Drug Educators. Throughout his career, Mr. Robinson has been recognized for his contributions. The recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, he has been nominated for Professor of the Year and was decorated with numerous awards by the U.S. Air Force. He has also been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who’s Who in America.
