Doug Bixel, President of F-Sorb, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in acoustics.
With more than 15 years of professional experience, Mr. Bixel has been the president of F-Sorb since 2010. In this role, he has aspired to help create sound control items using recycled water bottles, and he has striven to keep it much more affordable than the other responsible products on the market. In addition to his primary role, he has served as president of Forrest Sound Products since 2006. Looking toward the future, he intends to diversify the materials he uses for his products including plant-based and animal-based biofibers. On top of F-Sorb, his achievements include launching products that are part of an exponentially growing and disruptive trend in building materials and architectural design, focused on controlling sound issues with a health and wellness approach.
Mr. Bixel first pursued an education with Portland State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and business law in 1988. A respected voice in his community, he is a member of the Northwest Wall and Ceiling Bureau, the SISCA Pet Adoption Center, and ASTM International. He has also been affiliated with the Master Builders Association, Built Grain, and the Entrepreneurs, Association. For his contributions to the field, he was given the Groundbreaker Award by the East Side Business Journal and he was the Runner Up for the HIP Award by Interior Design Magazine.
