Anthony G. Gianopoulos, Principal and Director of Operations at Perkins and Will, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in architecture.

Drawing upon more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Gianopoulos excels as the principal and the director of operations for Perkins and Will, an architectural firm, where he leads the higher education practice and heads some of their most complicated projects. Previously, he served at the aforementioned firm as an associate principal. A Design-Build Institute of America professional, he manages projects through all phases of design and construction. In a career filled with highlights, Mr. Gianopoulos is especially proud of rebuilding homes after Hurricane Katrina in partnership with Perkins and Will and assisting in more than a dozen building projects on the University of Washington’s campus.

In 1982, Mr. Gianopoulos began his pursuit of a career in architecture by earning a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University. He later became designated as a lead accredited professional. He retains his professional alignment with the American Institute of Architects and the Design-Build Institute of America. Throughout his career, Mr. Gianopoulos has contributed to such creative works as “How We Did It: Public-Private Partnership University Turns to Alternative Market Rate Financing to Fund Laboratory Space.”

In recognition of his amazing accomplishments, Mr. Gianopoulos earned the Citation Award from the American Institute of Architects Washington Council in 2016 and 2017, as well as the Energy in Design Award from the American Institute of Architects Seattle in 2017. Recently, he received a regional award for making what his client called “one of the most beautiful buildings in the world.” As he continues his exemplary efforts in the field, he hopes to continue receiving that kind of feedback. Looking toward the future, Mr. Gianopoulos aims to continue finding success on his current path.
