Nathaniel J. Raggette, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Scorpion Oil & Gas, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance and business administration.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Raggette attended the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management, Accounting concentration, magna cum laude, in 1997.  He continued his academic efforts at Harvard Business School, where he received a Master of Business Administration in 2001.  At the start of his career, Mr. Raggette garnered experience as a CPA with KPMG, LLP from 1997 to 1999 and later joined Goldman Sachs as an Investment Banker after graduating from Harvard in 2001.  From 2004 to 2007, he served as an Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley and subsequently accepted a position with GE Energy Financial Services.

From 2010 to 2018, Mr. Raggette worked in the Global Investment Banking division of RBC Capital Markets as a Managing Director covering Oil & Gas clients.  During his stint with RBC, he briefly left to serve as Chief Financial Officer of Bright Horizon Resources, a Denham Capital-backed private oil & gas company based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Since 2018, Mr. Raggette has excelled as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Scorpion Oil & Gas, and in the coming years, he plans to continue his current work focused on growing a larger asset base at Scorpion.  His professional volunteer efforts are numerous and have included time spent on the Board of Directors for the Houston Area Urban League from 2008 to 2011 and a volunteer with Teach For America and Junior Achievement USA.

In addition to his primary professional pursuits, Mr. Raggette maintains personal affiliation with numerous civic and charitable organizations, including the HOA Community Neighborhood Board of Sienna Plantation and the University of the Ozarks.  With a long track record of excellence, he was recognized with numerous academic and athletic awards during his education at Tulane University. Mr. Raggette sincerely believes that a strong work ethic and curiosity to learn will allow anyone to find success in a field they are passionate about.  His motto is “hard work over the long term will always pay off” and he continues to find success through his personal and professional pursuits. In his spare time, he enjoys serving as coach for his son’s soccer and baseball teams and apprentice for his wife’s furniture restoration hobby.
