Mr. Fuchs was attracted to his profession because of the myriad opportunities that came with it. To him, joy is manufacturing, taking on materials and making something useful out of them. On his quest to become an established profession, he pursued a formal education at St. Martin’s College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1962. Mr. Fuchs went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from Washington State University in 1964.
Currently, Mr. Fuchs presides at the chairman, board member and executive vice president of Anctil Sheet Metal Company in Portland, Oregon. Prior to this role, he loaned his expertise to several different companies, including Systems Piping, Incorporated, Northwest Copperworks, Incorporated, and Northwest Medical Equipment Distributors. Mr. Fuchs attributes much of his success to his genuine love for what he does, which makes his work enjoyable. He is continuously motivated and ready to succeed. His advice to those pursuing any career would be, “Do what you love.”
Outside of his primary roles, Mr. Fuchs is a member of the American Management Association, the American Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, the Eagles Club and the Multnomah Athletic Club. As a testament to his 55 years of success in his industry, Mr. Fuchs is featured in the 24th and 25th editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry.
