Jamia Alexander-Williams, Systems Engineer II at Wachovia Bank/Wells Fargo and Founder and President of the Angel Warriors Foundation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering and philanthropic endeavors.
A graduate of Alabama A&M University, Ms. Alexander-Williams earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science in 1995. She concluded her academic efforts with a Master of Science in information systems from Stray University in Birmingham, Alabama. She began her career as a recreation work for the Montgomery County Commission from 1989 to 1992, before briefly contributing as a telemarketer for Olan Mills in Huntsville for a year. Ms. Alexander-William later joined Colonial Mortgage Company as an image scanner, further progressing to a customer service representative, and the corporate registration specialist until her departure in 1996. Soon thereafter, she became a certified IBM AIX series specialist and held the position of a system engineer for various companies including DSD Laboratories, I-Net, EDS, and HealthSouth between 1996 and 2007.
More recently, Ms. Alexander has excelled as the systems engineer II for Wells Fargo since 2007. In addition, she became the founder of the Angel Warrior Foundation in Alabama in 2016. Ms. Alexander-Williams founded the Angel Warrior Foundation, because she felt compelled to help the atypical families of her community. Every opportunity available is not exempt for anyone in the community. Year after year, she recognized the community’s special needs and the fact that families would have to go outside of their city to find resources. Moreover, she began finding ways to bring services to the community. For her accomplishments in the field, she has been presented the Citizen of the Year Award from the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Alexander-Williams attributes her success to God. She truly believes that he is working through her.
