Ms. Philippe became involved in her profession because her grandfather started the firm in New York and encouraged his family to become involved in the business. Unfortunately, her grandfather passed away during the war, leaving the business to Ms. Philippe’s father. She joined the family business working alongside her father in started  in 1973. She garnered experience beforehand by earning a First-Year Degree in Russian, Ecole de Langues Oriengales, Certificat d’Etudes Littéraires Générales from Paris University in 1966. From there, she earned a Master of Business Administration from the Paris Business School in 1969. Coming to America, she went to Stanford University taking postgraduate coursework in 1975. In 1976, Ms. Philippe received a diploma from the French Society of Financial Analysts.

The highlight of Ms. Philippe’s career came in the mid-1980s when her company had a joint venture with the company Worttime. Another major moment was that her company was the first French and American financial firm to offer pension funds to American companies on non-American equities. This was a large achievement for a small firm. A third achievement included managing for high-net-worth individuals in the early 2000s, which is a task that her company had originally started out doing but changed. In 1981, Ms. Philippe became the president of Philippe Investment Management (now FOURPOINTS Asset Management Inc.) and remains in the position to this day. In 1981, she also became the managing director of Pan Holding until 1998. She became the director of CIPEC in 1982 staying until 1998. From 1986 to 1990, Ms. Philippe was the director of Affiliates of UAP in the USA. She was the director of Dreyfus Funds from 1987 to 1989 and the director of S.G. Warburg Funds from 1987 to 1990. In 1987, Ms. Philippe was the director of Mercury Metals Trust Ltd. until 1992, director of Blackrock Greater Europe Investment Trust in London from 1994 to 2011, director of the Philippe Fund PLC in Dublin from 2002 to 2012, director of Mercurion Asia Fund from 2006 to 2012 and vice chairman of Pan Holding from 2008 to 2012. As a testament to her success, Ms. Philippe received the Chevaliers of the Légion d’honneur in 2013 and the Ordre national du Mérite from France in 1999. She is also listed in numerous editions of Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Finance and Business and Who’s Who in Finance and Industry.
