Growing up in the inner city of Detroit, Mr. Miles looked up to his local police officers and strived to one day be like them. He spends his free time volunteering with United Way and serving as a “reading buddy” at a local school.

Notably, Mr. Miles has been the recipient of the Excellence of Service Award from the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office in 2017 and holds three military commendations and medals. Mr. Miles is a member of the Carey Wheaton Lodge Mason, Hatcher Cole Fraternal Order of Police, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion Post 175.
