Richard Conrad Imbert, Insurance Company Executive and Real Estate Developer at R.C.I. Industries Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in insurance and real estate.
Backed by nearly 60 years of professional experience in the corporate world, Mr. Imbert was notably named Man of the Year by the North Shore L.I.J. Aquarium in 2000. Mr. Imbert has served as president of R.C.I. Industries Inc. since 1980, president of IMP Properties, Inc. since 1975 and president and CEO of Windmill Manor Farms, Inc. since 2000. To arrive to his current accomplished status in his career, he thanks his first boss, Carl Wilkins, for his motivation and inspiration.
Learning from the family agency business, Mr. Imbert commenced his career as an underwriter at the Insurance Co. of North America in Hempstead, New York in 1961. Three years later, he joined his father-in-law in his agency, Ashby Lee Biedler, Inc. in New York City, which had become one of the largest privately owned agency in the country. From 1964 to 1967, he served the company as a sales executive and was then promoted to the distinguished role of president, which he excelled in until 1974. Mr. Imbert went on to serve as president of Fisher-Biedler, Inc. from 1974 to 1985 and as president of the American Professional Agency, Inc. from 1974 to 2019.
Mr. Imbert later got involved with real estate development by building the first major hotel on Long Island, The Sheraton Hotel, of which he is a partner. The highlight of Mr. Imbert’s real estate career was building the Imbert Cancer Center part of Northwell Health in Bay Shore, New York in 2016. To attest to Mr. Imbert’s career accomplishments, he can be found in numerous editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in the World.
Mr. Imbert is a member of the New York State Thorobred Owners Association, Southward Ho Country Club, Republican Senatorial Inner Circle, Unqua Corinthian Yacht Club, Chub Cay Club, and Admirals Cove. Since 2000, he has been Deputy Commissioner of Police with the Amityville Police Department and in his free time enjoys yachting and scuba diving. Mr. Imbert is a former chairman of the board of directors for Polymerix Inc., vice president of Long Island Polymers, president of the advisory committee of the Long Island Aquarium and chairman of the Bishop’s Council of Stewards for Saint Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church. He is also a former trustee of the Long Island Maritime Museum, Long Island Aquarium, and Saint Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church.
