Jack Tackett, a Systems Engineer at Wells Fargo, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in computer engineering.
Growing up, Mr. Tackett became fascinated with computers and electronics. Upon graduating high school, he attended the University of North Carolina, Asheville, and earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science in 1990. Subsequently, he became a certified information systems security professional and a certified scrum master, while receiving security clearance through the Department of Energy. At the start of his career, Mr. Tackett worked as a computer operator for First Federal Savings Bank in Hendersonville, North Carolina from 1986 to 1987. He further excelled as a systems analyst with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, as well as a software engineer for Wandel & Goltermann, between 1990 and 1996.
As he progressed through his career, Mr. Tackett held several executive titles with numerous companies including Nortel Information Networks, Foveon/Plurimus, Yellowbrick Solutions, and GSK. From 2002 to 2017, he served as the senior development and operations engineer of Compliancy Software, Inc., a company he also co-founded. Utilizing his expertise in computer sciences, Mr. Tackett has authored numerous publications in the field. Some of which include, “Windows NT and Unix Integration Guide,” “SE Using Linux,” “The Visual C++ Construction Kit,” “Object Oriented Programming with Visual C++,” and “Migrating from UNIX to Windows NT,” among others.
Outside of his primary engagements, Mr. Tackett previously contributed as a principal at Tristar Systems Inc. and a consultant for businesses in California and North Carolina. In an effort to remain aware of changes in the field, he maintains affiliation with the Association for Computing Machinery and the Authors Guild. In his spare time, Mr. Tackett enjoys reading, traveling, and expanding his knowledge of various topics.
