Dr. Sindhu is the co-chairman and the founder of EST Global, Incorporated, an innovation-driven financial services enterprise based at Cambridge Innovation Center, MIT, Boston. Starting from St. Karen’s High School and St. Xavier’s School, he notably earned a master’s degree in economic history and subsequent to his research work on the systemic theory of development at Punjab University, he joined a bank. Subsequently, Dr. Sindhu completed additional coursework on fintech and blockchain at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2018 and 2019.
Dr. Sindhu has developed his career to global leadership in transforming the financial ecosystem through digital evolution, the fintech revolution, and financial inclusion. He is now leading an initiative to impact a majority of the world’s population in the rural and farming sector, with initial work beginning in India and Africa. He is a thought leader in the banking and financial services sector and has been a progress-seeking banker connecting the banking enterprise to the development of a “movement from below approach” to create viability and profitability to shareholders and stakeholders in the value chain.
As a new-age technology evangelist, Dr. Sindhu is on a mission to create the new development mantra wherein the driving engine is digital composite banking. Financial inclusion will shore up the country’s economy and growth quotient. His vision is to create the largest framework to corporatize the unbanked and rural areas. This vision is possible through unleashing the potential of emerging technology, understanding countries’ problems, and investing in alliances and partnerships to complement the ecosystem. The new-age technology will not only serve our economy via a decentralized autonomous platform, but can also take care of adversity in the production and supply chain.
Dr. Sindhu further exudes his creativity through his poems. His anthology of poems, “Preface of a Prelude,” is published in World Poet Series.
Some of his present engagements also include serving as the global head of banking and finance chapter of the Government Blockchain Association (GBA) in Washington, D.C.; fintech and digital partner of Ecobank in Mozambique; JV partner with Zing Mobile in Singapore, Ghana and Tanzania; international partner for the All Africa Union for free trade; strategic partner of development for Umoja in South Africa; strategic partner of Anda Global with Ghana Ltd.; speaker on fintech and banking in various global forums; and speaker at several management institutions in India and other countries. His recent awards include third position in World CEO of the Year in 2020 and the Biggest Impact Award in 2021.
