Denise Ann Da Moude, Passport Clerk at United States Postal Service, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in postal service.
Ms. Da Moude commenced her career as a teacher of physical education and health at Pine Ridge Middle School in 1977. Deciding to change professions, she went to work for the U.S. Forest Service as a dorm supervisor and counselor in 1980. She stayed in the position for one year before joining the U.S. Postal Service in 1981 as a city carrier, having worked in Nebraska and then Portsmouth, Virginia. Her entire career with the postal service lasted 29 years until her retirement in 2010, where she held the positions of clerk and passport clerk.
The highlight of Ms. Da Moude’s career was receiving a Master of Arts in community mental health at Regent University, 20 years after achieving a Bachelor’s degree in 1996. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Chardon State College in 1976. In her spare time, Ms. Da Moude devotes time to her community. She is active in her church, Kempsville Presbyterian Church, where she was ordained as a deacon in 2000, holding the position until 2006 and then again from 2014 to 2016. She has also held the positions of chairman of the food pantry, trustee, chairman of the clothing closet and chairman of trustees. Previously she committed time to the Chardon Community Church, holding the positions of co-chairman and superintendent of the Christian Education Committee. Additionally, she has spent time doing international missionary work and was a Virginia Beach Volunteer Police Chaplain. Ms. Da Moude was also involved with the Girl Scouts as a member of the board of directors of the Guiding Star Council during the years 1981 to 1983 and 1990 to 1992.
As a testament to her success, Ms. Da Moude received the Girl Scout Appreciation Award in 1990. She has been inducted as a member of various esteemed organizations including the American Association of Christian Counselors, National Association of Female Executives, Cardinal Key, Sigma Delta Nu, Christian Association of Psychological Studies and Natural Food Cooperative of Chadron Northeast. She is also listed in numerous editions of Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in America.
