One night, a stranger came to his home with a handful of money, and to Mr. Schmoyer that the money would be his if he used it to go back to school and become the best pastor he could. He humbly accepted the gift and was able to continue working toward his degree. Now a revered of more than six decades, Mr. Schmoyer finds the most rewarding part of his career to be his ability to help people grow spiritually in their faith. He is well known for visiting his parishioners and members going as far as Maine, Florida, Washington and Minnesota, and letting them know how much he cares for them as their shepherd.
