Dawn M. Bass, Executive Director at Community Builders, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in counseling.
Ms. Bass began her journey to professional success at Yakima Valley Community College in 2001. There, she earned a General Education Diploma before earning a Certificate in chemical dependency studies and, later, an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science in 2003. She recently furthered her education by earning a Bachelor of Science in behavioral health from Grand Canyon University. Throughout her illustrious career, she has additionally earned a number of certifications, which began with CPR and first aid. She is additionally certified in youth mental health first aid, alcohol and drug information school instruction, and chemical dependency.
In 1999, Ms. Bass was hired as the lead counselor at the Alcohol Drug Dependency Services. She remained there until 2007, going on to work for the Cascade Recovery Resource Center and the Youth Services of Kittias County. In 2011, she served as a chemical dependency professional at MERIT Resources Services, where she stayed until 2019. Currently, Ms. Bass is upholding the title of executive director with Community Builders, as she has since 2008. She considers one of her greatest accomplishments to have been her interview with the Wall Street Journal. Looking toward the future, she hopes to earn a grant and open a youth center in her local area.
