In her illustrious career, Ms. Carter has been an awarded member of Raymond James since 1994, and in 2016, they subsequently named her a Woman of Distinction. Outside of her primary career role, she is the distinguished founder of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Jacksonville Inc. Additionally, she has been recognized as a founding member of the Women’s Giving Alliance of Jacksonville since 2001 and of the Women Leadership Alliance since 2017. Ms. Carter attributes her success to her determination to succeed and her love for working with people. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue her professional work and enjoy quality time with her family. With this sentiment, Ms. Carter has traveled to various corners of the world with her husband, Peter, and also enjoys spending time with friends at their Minnesota lakeside cabin.
Ms. Carter received a Bachelor of Science from St. Cloud State University in 1973 and a Master of Arts in counseling psychology from the University of North Florida in 1979. Building her first career in school counseling and teaching, Ms. Carter developed impeccable counseling skills that she has transferred to her current business planning. Looking back on her decades of career accomplishments, the advice Ms. Carter can offer to the next generation of financial experts is to change the conversation in their own mind about what they can do, always think bigger and think smarter.
