Drawing upon more than 40 years of experience in the realm of banking, Mr. Darr currently serves as the vice president and loan review analyst for the Israel Discount Bank of New York, a role he obtained in 2019. With decades of expertise to his credit, he previously served several other New Jersey and Pennsylvania banks in myriad capacities, such as Amboy Bank, Northfield Bank, New Millennium Bank, Sovereign Bank, Summit Bank, Independence Community Bank, Carnegie Bank, N.A., the New Jersey National Bank and the First Peoples Bank of New Jersey. He commenced his career in 1978 as a collateral analyst for the First National Bank and Trust Company.
Supported by a Bachelor of Science in commerce and Master of Business Administration, both from Rider University, Mr. Darr also holds management certificates in management studies in Total Quality Management and Zenger-Miller Front-Line Leadership through Mercer County Community College. He is a certified notary public in New Jersey. Civically involved as well, he has been a national volunteer program member for the Word of Life Fellowship in Schroon Lake, New York, since 2010 and a secretary for the Rider University Alumni Association since 2012, having previously served in the same capacity from 2003 to 2005. He also maintains membership with Gideons International.
The recipient of the School Award from the American Legion Post in Medford, New Jersey, from 1974, Mr. Darr is an expert in commercial and business affairs, multi-family real estate lending, underwriting, review, and analysis of loan accounts, and financial and credit analyst of new loan proposals. Looking toward the future, he intends to remain with Israel Discount Bank in increasingly responsible positions.
