Having accrued more than 20 years of professional experience, Ms. Parker notably spearheaded her entrepreneurial endeavor, Parker Interiors Staging and Redesign, in 2009. Offering staging, moving, design and furniture services, fact sheets, portfolio pictures, and more, Parker Interiors has become a well-known service within the greater Washington, D.C. area. Backed by a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Howard University acquired in 1999, Ms. Parker went on to earn a Master of Public Administration in media policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in 2001. Ms. Parker attributes her current-day success to her experiences opening businesses, such as Design Heals. With a strong work ethic, she has had the opportunities to form valuable business relationships and learn from great mentors and successful individuals.

Ms. Parker commenced her career as a foreign service officer with the U.S. Department of State in 2001 and spent a great deal of her work traveling until 2004. After leaving the service, she transitioned into the world of marketing and served Philip Morris USA as a senior media specialist from 2004 to 2005. In 2005, she joined Rexahn Pharmaceuticals Inc. as director of communications, and two years later, joined DTI Associates as senior communications manager until 2008. Following these roles, Ms. Parker served Booz Allen Hamilton as a senior consultant in 2008 and 2009 and an associate in 2009 and 2010. Finally, while simultaneously spearheading her design company, Ms. Parker was a strategic communication officer for the Department of the Army from 2010 to 2012. Looking toward the future, Ms. Parker hopes to continue to grow her business and figure out ways to leverage herself to reach a broader scope of people and make a real difference in her community.
