Following his notable service with the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1970 and the U.S. Coast Guard from 1975 to 1980, Mr. Raasch worked for AT&T Communications from 1980 to 1990. Striving to take on a new role, Mr. Raasch and a co-worker entertained with the idea of opening their own business. From their entrepreneurial research, they discovered motels were cashed out and that if they could find the right motel they could do well with a career in hospitality. The pair bought the Nugget Inn Hotel and led the business from 1990 to 1995. As new opportunities arose, Mr. Raasch became the president and owner of Rainier View RV Park in 1992 and has excelled in his executive role for the past 28 years.
The Rainier View RV Park is located high on top of a hill on the outskirts of the quiet community of Graham Washington. With outstanding views of the mountain, the park offers 55 recreational vehicle spaces with 30a and some 50a electrical service. As Mr. Raasch’s area of expertise falls within business and sales knowledge, his skillsets make him the ideal candidate to lead an environmental escape.
In addition to owning and smoothly operating the RV park, Mr. Raasch has also served as vice president of a flower shop and computer business since 2017. In these capacities, he makes executive decisions, offers services to customers, and manages the company’s finances. Attributing his success to being a child of the living God, Mr. Raasch was has been the notable recipient of a National Sales Prize from Planner and Hafsoos. He is also involved in his Lutheran church as an elder. In five years’ time, Mr. Raasch plans to continue running his RV park and contributing to making his customer’s visits happy and memorable.
