Leni S. Berliner, Founder and Artist at Dancing Tree Arts, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in art and global renewable energy.
Finding her way back to her passion of art later in life, Ms. Berliner is an experienced international businessperson now serving as the founder and head artist to Dancing Tree Arts. Upon studying at the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Ms. Berliner has been photographing and painting landscapes and nature regularly since 2006. With an American Modernist style, she exhibits regularly in New York City and Washington, D.C., and also has work hanging in private homes throughout the U.S.
Prior to her artistic endeavors, Ms. Berliner obtained a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Master’s degree in public and international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. Following a career in international economic development and in mining, Ms. Berliner chose to focus on global renewable energy, based on a preference for renewable energy and a vision of environmental protection and management as a business and founded Mining & Metals 21 in 2001 and Energy Farms International LLC in 2007. From 2012 to the present, Ms. Berliner has been a business mentor and coach at Cleantech Open.
At Apex Silver Mines, LDC as co-founder and chief operating officer of the Latin American Division, as well as adviser to the chairman from 1993 to 1999; Apex listed on the American Stock Exchange in 1997. Earlier in the 1990s, she offered her expertise to the Inter-American Investment Corporation, Council for International Development and U.S. Agency for International Development. She commenced her career in 1979 as a member of the Eastern Middlesex Human Resources Development Authority and Massachusetts Institute of Technology Operations Research Center. The highlights of Ms. Berliner’s development career include reforming economic policy and regulation to support the development of the private sector in emerging markets. She attributes her success to the support and skills learned from her parents and to the exceptional breadth and depth of her knowledge base, which she uses to help clients improve their competitive position in their industry.
