Randy D. Beck, Retired Human Resources Manager at American Greeting Corp., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in human resources.
Mr. Beck began working for a lumber company early on in his career. Excelling in his positions, he showed his prowess and was subsequently promoted to higher positions. Eventually, Mr. Beck became a human resources manager and from there he continued the course. Prior to spearheading his professional career, Mr. Beck earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in management operations from Almeda University in Boise, Idaho.
Mr. Beck began his career as a group store manager at Grossman’s Lumber & Building Materials in 1981, remaining until 1994. From 1992 to 1994, he was also a branch general manager for Foster Lumber Yards, Incorporated. In 1994, he became a human resources manager at Orchard Supply Hardware, where he stayed until 2001. From there he became a human resource manager and territory lead at American Greetings, staying until he reached his retirement in 2009. He deeply enjoyed the work that completed throughout his career and looks back with great fondness and valuable memories.
A prolific writer, in 2007, Mr. Beck wrote “Retail, A Second Set of Eyes,” and has continued to write to this day. In his retirement, he enjoys fishing, traveling, reading and writing. As a testament to his success, Mr. Beck received several state and countywide awards in California. He was previously inducted as a member of the Hoo-Hoo Club and is a past member of the Lion’s Club. Currently, Mr. Beck plans to slow down and vacation more but hopes to work part-time in human resources again.
