Parfait N. Mutimura, Chairman and Investment Banker at Elevenheimer Group LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance.
Upon taking an actuarial science class in college, Mr. Mutimura came to realize his excellence in mathematics and pursued the field professionally. While he thought he would get a job as an actuary in the insurance industry, he eventually went into the investment climate. Deciding to break into investment, financial development and the financial planning industry, Mr. Mutimura earned a Bachelor of Science in actuarial and mathematics sciences from the State University of New York at Albany. He then received a Master of Science in law and corporate compliance from Fordham University. Continuing with his education, he went on to receive a certificate in behavioral finance and modern portfolio theory from Duke University and a CAGS in alternative investments, hedge funds and private equity from Harvard Business School.
Upon completion of his degrees, FINA certified Mr. Mutimura as a Series 7 General Securities Registered Representative, Series 63 Uniform Securities State Agent of law, Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser of law and for Securities Industry Essentials. Mr. Mutimura commenced his career as an actuary with AIG in 2012, where he remained until 2013. He then became an investment banker with Newbridge Securities Corporation from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, Mr. Mutimura notably founded Elevenheimer Group LLC, a New York-based alternative investments firm, with a regional field branch office in Rwanda. Starting as a hedge fund manager, he went on to become the chairman and an investment banker. In his work, Mr. Mutimura finds value in helping and improving his client’s financial situation.
The highlight of Mr. Mutimura’s career was being able to start something that became his passion. His entire life journey, from the time he left Rwanda for the United States, along with acquiring academic achievements and landing a job on Wall Street has been remarkable. He describes his greatest achievement to be going back to Rwanda and setting up a small branch office, which was an outlet for financial education. As a testament to his success, Mr. Mutimura received an award for Life Insurance Consorting Activities Most Producing in the African American Community in 2016, a Career Life Achiever Award and a Closing with Conviction Award. In five years’ time, Mr. Mutimura wants to continue in management, strategizing the policy and advisory unit as opposed to being a finance manager. He also wants to transition to a venture capital role.
