Randy Murry, Operations Manager at Pafford Coahoma County Emergency Medical Services, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in public service.

Mr. Murry became involved in his profession after starting his career as a volunteer firefighter at the age of 18. He wanted to give back to his community in some way, shape, form, or fashion. At the time, Mr. Murry saw the importance of public service individuals and decided that he wanted to pursue a career in the field. Once he was old enough, he started looking for ways to join the volunteer fire department. Mr. Murry received an Associate of Arts from Coahoma Community College in 2014. Upon completion of his degree, he became a nationally licensed paramedic, certified CPR instructor, advanced medical life support instructor, pre-trauma life support instructor, emergency vehicle operations instructor, and an EMS safety instructor. He is also certified in public information.

Always looking to become a better leader, Mr. Murry began his career as a street paramedic for the Pafford Coahoma County Emergency Medical Services at the Baptist Memorial Hospital. He then became a paramedic with the Southaven Fire Department, going on to work as a part-time firefighter captain for the Tohoma Fire Department. In 2016, he became the chief of the Lula Volunteer Fire Department. Since 2017, Mr. Murry has been the operations manager for the Pafford Coahoma County Emergency Medical Services. As a testament to his success, Mr. Murry received the Mississippi Star of Life Award in 2020, which was preceded by the Firefighter of the Year Award in 2017. He has also been inducted as a member of the Mississippi Firefighters Association, the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, and the Mississippi Emergency Medical Technicians.
