Christa A. Plaza, President at Essenza Architecture, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top E for dedication, achievements, and leadership in design and building.
Ms. Plaza became involved in her profession because her father designed and built their house, which inspired her to pursue architecture. Together, she and her father completed many home flips. She loved to work with him, gradually becoming more familiar with architecture and design. She also loved math, science, and art, as well as being creative. Moreover, Ms. Plaza loved the technical side of the business, which put her in the perfect position to succeed. She earned a Bachelor of Science in architecture from Arizona State University in 1995, subsequently beginning her journey to professional success.
Ms. Plaza’s most notable achievement was maintaining her business through the 2008 recession. She began her career as a project manager with Ohlson Lavoie Collaborative in 1996, remaining until 2002. That year, she became a project manager for Roth Sheppard Architects until 2003. She then became a project manager for Olson Architecture from 2003 to 2007. Since 2007, Ms. Plaza has been the president of Essenza Architecture. She contributes to The Cutchins Programs for Children and Families. As a testament to her success, Ms. Plaza received a National Illumination Award from the Clear Creek Metro District Recreation Center in 2016.
