F. Neal Thompson, President at Financial Services Consultants Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance.
Inspired by how the insurance industry did not cross-pollinate with banking businesses, Mr. Thompson decided to venture out with an idea he had and found great success. Since 1996, he has served as the distinguished president of Financial Services Consultants Inc. Likewise, he is a chartered life underwriter since 1975, a certified financial planner since 1977, chartered financial consultant since 1983, and a life underwriting training council fellow from 1994. Prior to his current endeavors, Mr. Thompson was chairman of the executive committee for Wheat Insurance Services from 1990 to 1995 and served as vice president of the Fidelity Corporation from 1971 to 1990. Notably, he is a retired colonel, having served the Department of Military Affairs Virginia Defense Force from 2001 to 2005 and holds a Meritorious Service Award.
Mr. Thompson received a Bachelor of Arts from Lynchburg College and went on to achieve a Master of Business Administration in economics and finance from the University of Richmond-Robins School of Business in 1966. Additionally, in 2019, he obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Liberty University School of Law. A member of the Advisory Board for the Chartered Financial Planning Organization, he has been named a Top Financial Planner and was recognized by the College of Financial Planning for 20 Years of Service. Looking back on his illustrious career, Mr. Thompson attributes his success to his adaptability and his staying power. Upon his civic duties, he is involved with the Alzheimer’s Association and Intestinal Sis-its Association. Looking ahead, Mr. Thompson intends to continue his career and work to educate all Americans in the “Rule of Law” and the economics of life.
