Mr. Grant became involved in his profession while working for Citibank. There, he found an interest in financial planning, which motivated him to pursue a career in the field. Mr. Grant proceeded to earn an Associate of Arts from Miami Dade College. From there, he matriculated at Florida International University, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration. He then became certified in retirement planning and received FINRA Series 7, 63, 65, 24, and 26 Securities Registrations.

Mr. Grant attributes his success to his motto, “We do our best work first.” He is most proud of providing financial plans for numerous individuals, as well as being the first African-American to win the National Honor Associate in 2011, which is a prestigious award that has been granted by AXA Advisors for over 70 years. Mr. Grant began his career as a branch manager in 1984 at Great Western Bank, remaining there until 1993. From there, he became a branch vice president and cluster manager at Citibank from 1993 to 1995. Since 1995, he has held the position of branch director of financial planning with Equitable Advisors alongside his more recent role as the president of G Financial Group, LLC. Mr. Grant is also a member of the board of trustees at Florida International University. To further help people, he has written “Bold Moves to Creating Financial Wealth,” in 2011, and he co-authored “The Power of Generational Wealth: It’s More Than Dollars and Cents,” which is available for purchase on Amazon.

As a testament to his success, Mr. Grant received the Non-Profit Business Innovative Excellence for Outstanding Board Leader for Florida International University from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce in 2018. Likewise, he earned the First Alumnus of the Year Award from Florida International University in 2014, as well as the Darwin Davis Award for Community Service in 2012. Mr. Grant was also named the Banker of the Year by the Miami Urban Bankers Association and Two-Time Branch Manager of the Year by Great Western Bank. Further, he is an inductee of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Hall of Fame at Florida International University and holds a place in the Miami Dade College Hall of Fame.
