Vaughn Quince Wolfolk Major, Retired Agent of the Internal Revenue Service, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in financial services.
A graduate of Nathaniel Hawthorne College, Mr. Major earned a Bachelor of Science in business management and accounting in 1974. Soon thereafter, he received a Master of Science in accounting from the Walter E. Heller College of Business at Roosevelt University in 1983. Subsequently, he began his career as a field accountant for Half Accountempts for one year before joining Lucas, Tucker and Company as a staff auditor from 1984 to 1985. He later accepted the position of an internal auditor with Freedom National Bank for an additional year, further becoming a senior accountant with Loeb & Troper of New York between 1986 and 1987.
From 1987 to 2010, Mr. Major served as a Federal Reserve agent with the Internal Revenue Service from 1987 to 2010. During this time, he also excelled as an adjunct professor at Baruch College for seven years. For his accomplishments, he has been the recipient of several awards including the Gallatin Award for Distinguished Service. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Major served as a sergeant from 1964 until his honorable discharge in 1970. In recognition of his service, he has received the Good Conduct Medal, the Arm Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal from the Marine Corps. Mr. Major attributes his grand career success to his strict obedience to God.
