These values stuck with him throughout his life, leading him to enlist with the United States Army after graduating from high school. For 26 years, he excelled as a first-class sergeant. Once he retired from military service, Mr. Stinger decided to pursue a career as a business owner. From 1998 until 2004, he owned and operated Stinger Transportation. In the years that followed, he worked as a talent acquisition manager for the United States Army and then as a marketing analyst for Tundra Federal and Prairie Quest. Since 2020, Mr. Stinger has excelled as the owner of Connection Central Transport.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Stinger has been abundantly awarded on numerous occasions. In 2004, 2010 and 2013, he was honored for his military service with Meritorious Service Medals. In 2005 and 2006, the Columbus Recruiting Battalion named Mr. Stinger the Recruiter of the Year. Likewise, in 2010, he was honored with a proclamation from Mayor Michael B. Coleman for leadership “above and beyond.” Reflecting on his myriad accomplishments, Mr. Stinger considers the highlight of his career to be his time serving in the United States Army.
