Stephen H. Robinette, Director of International Programs at Missouri State University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in higher education.
After graduating from high school, Mr. Robinette enlisted with the United States Army. During his time serving the United States, he excelled in officer education. After 30 years, he retired from Army service but was inspired to pursue a career in civilian education because of his prior success with the military. In 1976, Mr. Robinette earned a Master’s degree from Missouri State University. Since 2011, he has demonstrated consistent success as the director of international programs at the aforementioned institution.
Reflecting on his illustrious career, Mr. Robinette is proud to have been part of increasing the Missouri State University enrollment of international students. Notably, he and his team brought in almost 2,000 international students in the past few years, which is a drastic increase from the less than 500 that had previously been enrolled at the institution. He credits much of his success to his passion for getting to know his students and working with them one-on-one. Looking toward the future, Mr. Robinette hopes to eventually retire, which will allow him to work on his farm and spend more time with his family. A devoted family man, he and his wife share two children and three grandchildren.
