Supported by a diploma in electrical/electronics maintenance and repair technology from DeVry University and a diploma in computer information systems, computer and information sciences, and support services from West Georgia Technical College, Mr. Calhoun also completed an apprenticeship training diploma in electrical/electronics equipment installation and repair at Gwinnett Technical College. Serving in the electrical/electronics and engineering industries for the majority of his career, he has been excelling as president of Built to Last Tiny Homes in Manchester, Tennessee, since 2019. Prior to this appointment, he served in varying executive roles with NHK Seating of America, Marathon Electrical Contractors Inc., Mr. Electric of West Georgia and General Motors beginning in 1993.
Among his greatest achievements, Mr. Calhoun is proudest of his service to the Lord and being a minister since 2001. He attributes his success to his religious faith, as well as to his family who instilled in him the importance of never forfeiting in the face of struggle. He also cites obtaining his GA Unrestricted Class II electrical license as a career highlight, in addition to his 42-year marriage to his wife. Looking toward the future, he intends to continue the growth and success of his business and help his local community.
