Since 2007, Mr. Adams has notably served as the executive chef and owner of Blue Orleans Seafood Restaurant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Specializing in New Orleans Creole cuisine, he aims to ensure the quality of contemporary and traditional dishes by using fresh ingredients and preparing all sauces in-house. Notably, seafood gumbo is one of Mr. Adams’ signature dishes, which lead him and his restaurant to be recognized as Best of the Best for French and Cajun Cuisine by the Chattanooga Times Free Press in 2012 and 2013. Likewise, he has appeared on Restaurant Impossible in 2020 and was granted a score of seven out of 10 by world-renowned chef, Robert Irvine, which he calls a distinguishable highlight of his career. With this sentiment, Mr. Adams’ mission to assure that his restaurant is always operating with good margins and serving a great product.

Mr. Adams is backed by business education from the Southern University of New Orleans from 1990. As a young boy, he had always been interested in the concept of entrepreneurship since having his own bicycle paper route at age 12. Some years later, he began working with his cousin at Eddie’s Creole Restaurant where he fell in love with the restaurant and food industry. It became his dream to open his own restaurant and he went on to study with myriad tops chefs and restaurants throughout New Orleans and other parts of the south. Even during the difficulties that have come from the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Adams continues to persevere with Blue Orleans Seafood Restaurant with help from the city of Chattanooga. Looking back on his career trajectory, he attributes much of his success to his wife, Cherita, who has constantly offered support and motivation. A member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Mr. Adams hopes to return to New Orleans in the coming years, as he relocated his family following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
