Richard Kent Rappleye, Financial Executive, Consultant, and Educator, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance.
Desiring to help others, Mr. Rappleye chose to utilize his strengths in building a career within the realms of finance and management. In 1962, he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University, going on to acquire a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania two years later. By 1997, Mr. Rappleye concluded his academic endeavors by attaining an MRS from the University of Detroit Mercy. Shortly thereafter, he became a certified public accountant in the state of Illinois.
Beginning his career as an auditor for DeLoitte Haskins & Sells, Mr. Rappleye relocated to the United Dairy Industry Association in 1971, where he excelled as the director of financial administration until 1973. In the years that followed, he gained experience with Florists’ Transworld Delivery, Erb Lumber Co. and the Counsel Mott Foundation. From 2003 until 2005, Mr. Rappleye served as the program officer for the Kresge Foundation. Moreover, throughout the entirety of his career, he worked as a respected consultant in his field, lecturing at the University of Michigan, Oakland University and numerous other established institutions. Today, he remains active as a trustee for the Michigan Masonic Home Charitable Foundation and the Michigan State Bar Foundation. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Rappleye is proud of the family he and his wife, Karen, built together. They share two children and four grandchildren.
