Reginald D. Hyde, Chief Executive Officer at Oak Mountain Ventures and Consulting, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in consulting and law.
From watching his father excel as an employee of the United Nations, Mr. Hyde became interested in the legal realm and learned to read from popular news publications at the time. When he was a senior in high school, there was a great deal of political uprisings around the world. He decided to go into law school hoping to make a difference, eventually leading him to focus on national security. Mr. Hyde earned a Master of Arts in public policy from Princeton University in 1999. He then received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1983. Notably, Mr. Hyde was a licensed attorney since 1983, practicing international corporate law, in which most of his career revolved around foreign affairs and national security.
Mr. Hyde commenced his career in 1981 as an officer for the Central Intelligence Agency, remaining until 2002. He then moved up to senior executive for the Central Intelligence Agency and remained in that position until 2011. From 2011 to 2014, he was a deputy for the Department of Defense. From there, he became a financial consultant and then a consultant for strategy and technology. Today, he currently serves as the chief executive officer of Oak Mountain Ventures and Consulting, LLC.
As a testament to his success, Mr. Hyde received the Department of Defense Award, Meritorious Civilian Service and the Distinguished Career Officer Award. He has also been inducted as a member of the American Bar Association and the Alabama Bar Association. Mr. Hyde attributes his success to Mike Vickers, who was a great mentor, and George Senna, the former CIA director who he had the opportunity to work under. Looking towards the future, he plans to continue doing what he is currently doing.
