Edwin R. Loder, PhD, President at Delray Chemical and ERL & Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in science.
In 1952, Dr. Loder earned a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University. Three years later, he graduated from the Massachusetts Institutes of Technology with a Doctor of Philosophy. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Loder began his career as a senior chemist at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York. In the following years, he worked with Maumee Chemical as a director of research, GAF as a laboratory manager and DuBois Chemical, where he was the executive vice president from 1966 until 1985. Today, Dr. Loder excels as the president at both Delray Chemical and ERL & Associates. Prior to his scientific endeavors, he demonstrated success with the United States Navy from 1942 until 1952.
As an active member of his industry, Dr. Loder maintains affiliation with several professional organizations. These include the American Society of Quality Control, the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Chemical Society. Further, he is a fellow of the American Institute of Chemists. Although Dr. Loder’s career is overflowing with highlights, his recalls most memorable experience was surviving a chemical plant explosion on May 10th, 1962. As a testament to his professional success, he is featured in the first edition of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.
