Jason James, Airline Captain at American Airlines and Founder of Jwines, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in aviation.
After flying from Trinidad to New York City as a child, Mr. James knew he wanted to pursue a career in aviation. Fascinated by everything about airplanes, he earned a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University after finishing high school. In 1998, he became an airline captain for American Airlines. He remains in this role today, though he has also flown as a pilot for Coca-Cola and several private charter planes. Prior to his aviation endeavors, Mr. James excelled in the United States Marines and served as a United States Army Black Hawk Pilot from 1982 until 1995. As a testament to his military accomplishments, he earned the Meritorious Service Medal for Distinguished Service in the Military.
Reflecting on his illustrious career, Mr. James attributes his success to never giving up, as well as his faith in God. Building on his distinguished reputation in the aviation industry, he decided to start his own business, Jwines. As the only aviation-themed wine company in existence, Jwines is a unique approach to the alcohol industry. Mr. James is proud to be the founder, as his entrepreneurial spirit was truly able to thrive through this venture. Looking toward the future, he sees himself retiring from American Airlines and fully dedicating himself to Jwines. He hopes to keep growing as a professional and inspiring others for as long as possible.
