William R. Bliss Jr., Operations Manager at Lawman Heating and Cooling Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in management.

Growing up on a dairy farm in New York, Mr. Bliss was afforded the opportunity to learn about refrigeration from a young age. In 1986, he went on to achieve a technical degree in HVAC engineering from Alfred State College, the SUNY College of Technology. Upon completion of the program, Mr. Bliss accepted a job offer from Lawman Heating and Cooling Inc. located in New York and Virginia. For the past 34 years, he has excelled in his varying roles of operations manager, project manager, branch manager and heat estimator. Mr. Bliss attributes the success of his career to hard work, sacrifice, taking on new opportunities and being loyal to the company.

To remain abreast of his industry, Mr. Bliss maintains affiliation with the American Builder’s Exchange. In 2003, he became a master trainer by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. Taking on civic duties as well, he was a club master and den leader to the Boy Scouts of America from 1994 to 2004 and a class E head coach for the Byron Bergen Sting Soccer Club from 1998 to 2004. Today, Mr. Bliss dedicates time to serving as an elder at the Bergen Presbyterian Church and enjoys playing the guitar and five-string banjo, gardening and woodworking in his spare time. Looking toward the future, he hopes to spearhead his own business in woodworking, as well as his own meatery after he retires.
