Bob F. Mattucci, Winemaker at Stone Age Winery, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in plumbing and winemaking.
Mr. Mattucci began his career as a plumber at the age of 32. After working in the field for five years, he decided to work as such for 15 years with a university, before pursuing academic efforts to become a master plumber. In 1971, he earned a Master of Science from the State University of New York Oswego. Upon graduating, he developed a program for individuals interested in a career in the plumbing field after being released from prison. Mr. Mattucci debuted this program at Jamesville Correctional, later being contracted for 70 additional programs at a facility in Rochester. Ultimately, these programs provided inmates with college credit upon completion of the program.
After many years of success with the programs, Mr. Mattucci decided to pursue an entirely different career path. In 1976, he began his journey as a winemaker. Today, he flourishes as a winemaker of his tasting room, Stone Age WInery, located in Liverpool, New York. For his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Mattucci has been the recipient of the Adult Educator of the Year Award in 2002 and has been awarded 51 medals from Stone Age Winery Competitions. He attributes his success to his father, who was a World War II veteran. In the coming years, Mr. Mattucci hopes to open his own vocational school for job exploration in plumbing, carpentry, solar energy and electrical work.
