Linda Ann McVey, LFACHE, MSN, Director of Quality Assurance, Hospital Regulatory Compliance and Medical Cost Recovery at Northampton VA Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.

Backed by more than 40 years of experience in nursing, Ms. McVey excelled in her roles at the Northampton VA Medical Center in Massachusetts. Since joining the hospital in 1986, she has offered her expertise as the director of quality assurance, hospital regulatory compliance and medical cost recovery for 34 years. She had also served as executive assistant to the governing body, administrative officer and strategic planner. Additionally, Ms. McVey worked for the Baldrige Examiner from 1992 to 2011. In the earlier years of her career, she was associate chief for long-term and extended care at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center from 1983 to 1993 and a supervisor in ambulatory care at the Brockton/West Roxbury VA Medical Center from 1981 to 1983. She commenced her career in 1978 as a staffing coordinator at Jordan Hospital.

Ms. McVey earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University in 1973 and a Master of Science in Nursing, with distinction, from Boston College in 1978. Certified in healthcare QI/TQI and lean training as of 2011, she is also a national consultant for organizational management in education, business and healthcare. Notably, she was the recipient of the  Malcolm Baldridge  (Carey) Award from the Department of Veterans Affairs Northeast Region in 2005. A lifetime fellow of the American College Healthcare Executives, Ms. McVey holds membership with the Western Massachusetts Quality Management Consortium, National Association for Healthcare Quality, National Task Force for Continuous Quality Improvement and Customer Service and Massachusetts Association for Healthcare Quality.
