Larry Shropshire, President at Daily Bread Community Kitchen, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in community service.
After dedicating 32 years of managerial expertise to the Mills Processing Operation, Mr. Shropshire desired to take on a new role that was focused on community service. Since 2015, he has excelled as the president of the Daily Bread Community Kitchen in Morristown, Tennessee. In his role, Mr. Shropshire focuses on the logistics, public speaking and managing of the kitchen, whose mission is to ensure adequate food and supplies to provide hot meals for approximately 200 people per day. For his notable efforts, he was granted a Humanitarian Award from the Modern Woodsman Organization.
Alongside his primary endeavor, Mr. Shropshire serves on the board of directors for Gray Community Chess and is an associate pastor at his local church. He holds an Associate of Arts in computer science from 1982. Mr. Shropshire cites his love for giving back to the community comes from the example of his father, Hobert Williams, who owned and operated a service-based business. With this sentiment, he attributes his current success to his father and the Lord. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue to ensure no person goes hungry. Notably, Mr. Shropshire served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division from 1979 to 1982, from which he earned an Army Commendation Medal.
